About Footlights Performance Academy
Providing high class performing arts education for children and young adults in the South West for more than 15 years.
Based at various South West Locations as well as our own professional studio in Nailsea (Bristol), Footlights have been delivering training in all 3 performing arts disciplines since 2007. We nurture potential from age 3 upwards in dance, singing, drama and performance skills across a variety of classes. There is something to suit all interests and abilities.
Tina Kelly, the Director of Footlights, has had an extensive professional dance career throughout her life and now passes on her passion for the performing arts. All Footlights Staff are highly trained professionals and carry the Footlights ethos of fun, friendship and hard work in everything they do.
Once you join the Footlights family you will never look back so take this opportunity today to explore our website and all the brilliant classes we have on offer. We are always happy to chat on the phone or e-mail to answer any queries you may have and find the best fit for your child within the academy.
All of our Nailsea classes, Saturday Workshops and Vocal Dynamics take place at our bespoke studio space on Blackfriar’s trading estate in Nailsea. We have a main studio with 2 smaller breakaway rooms, providing parent’s waiting areas and additional rehearsal space for small groups or soloists. In addition, upstairs is a kitchen with seating space which is used as a social area for our senior members and can also be used as an additional rehearsal room. The main studio is equipped with full length dance mirrors.
The space is appropriate for small showcase style concerts with an audience of up to 50 and basic lighting and sound equipment. This is often utilised for small events and end of term concerts.
Footlights Performance Academy is committed to safeguarding those who are involved in any Footlights classes. We follow guidance on safeguarding children and have created our own policies. The Director of Footlights as well as other staff have received training in Child Protection.
